Built in 1883 and was in total disrepair by 1969. The "Old Church" was ready for the demolition ball, but saved by Lannie Hurst who formed a group to restore and preserve the building. The original organ displayed in the church was brought around Cape Horn and then transported by ox-cart from Astoria. Today thank's to Lannie, the Old Church has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It serves Stumptowners for weddings, concerts, receptions, etc.
(Michael Allen Harrisons Christmas Show should not be missed. It is held in the Old Church every holiday)
Whatever!

Hmmm. Looks blighted to me. I'm sure it's on Randy's list for weekly fire inspections and health violations. He's probably holding a raffle for which developer to sell the land to for a dollar. Let's see, how many stories high can we cram in there. How many national chain stores can we fit on ground level. Parking? Pffffttt. Go by streetcar!
