Can you believe a child at 18 months creating terrific and unique drawings? Corbin Chanter's Mother told me that's where his destiny began. Chanter is 19 years old now and with a great passion is drawing non-stop. At age 5 Corbin was drawing so much that his parents had to purchase cases of spiral notebooks!
My wife and I were walking the open market in Lake Oswego where Corbin has a very professional booth selling his wonderful greeting cards and original works of art. His business started when he was a freshman in high school. Corbin's booth was very busy as he was dreaming up new colorful designs and his Mom was ringing up the sales! Corbin's other interest is performing in school plays.

This should be an inspiration to all the teenagers laying around the streets of downtown asking for change. This boy looks like he has a challenge and ran with his desire of what he loves to do.
Terrific story. Stay with these positive blogs, there is way too much negative in my daily news.
Good one for sure.

A minor clarification...when Corbin was 18 mos. old, I taped a sheet of paper to his high chair table and gave him crayons. Instead of eating them as I feared he might, he began to scribble. His scribbles were not masterpieces but it marked the beginning of his drawing and a passion was born!
